Safety content should not change silently. This page records what was added or updated and when.
- Fixed a service worker bug: cached assets like the stylesheet were matched by filename only, ignoring the version number used to bust the cache on every update. This could leave an installed copy of the site showing outdated styling until the app updated on its own. Version numbers are now matched exactly.
- Added a labelled pipe diagram to the pneumatic calculator showing what internal diameter and length mean for the pipe-dimensions input.
- Added step-by-step illustrations to the install page for adding JouleCheck to an iPhone or Android home screen.
- Trimmed the about page and footer to a single, lighter mention of who built the site and why.
- Editorial pass across the site to plain punctuation, no wording or numbers changed.
- Clarified that fire main pressure testing is normally hydrostatic under NFPA 24, with air only used as a cold-weather interim step, and pointed to the pneumatic calculator for that specific case.
- Added a note on task and trigger pages clarifying they are references, not to-do lists. Added a biological energy trigger page and an explainer on why electrical energy is a voltage trigger rather than a calculation. New install and about pages, linked from the footer, along with an invitation to suggest activities by email. Calculators can now take an optional task or activity name that appears on printed and shared results. Task pages now offer every relevant calculator instead of one: 14 activities have both gravity and motion energy, and one (excavation) had been showing neither.
- Content accuracy review against the published research and the EEI HECA guide. Corrected a severity band label on the worked examples page (264.9 J sits in the first-aid band, not the recordable band). Aligned the direct control definition word for word with the EEI criteria: installed, verified and used. Acknowledged the narrow specialised-PPE exception from the EEI guidance. Refined the scaffold tube example, a flatbed load figure and two typical load ranges.
- Works offline and can be installed to a phone home screen. Worked examples page. Search understands site slang. Print, share and prefilled calculation links. Pneumatic test stored energy calculator, planning scale only. Direct-controls and common-loads references.
- Task library grown from 42 to 64 activities across 7 phases, based on activity frequency analysis of real data centre construction. Sound recognised on 18 tasks with a sound trigger reference. Glossary, printable Energy Wheel scan card, task search, homepage redesign.
- Site launched: 42 tasks, gravity and kinetic calculators, trigger references for energies that cannot be calculated in the field, Energy Wheel and Energy-Based Safety learning pages.
